Riley Park Renovation

The re-opening celebration for Riley Park in Bradley Beach took place Sat., Aug. 25 and featured a concert by the do-wop group The Cameos.  Beverly Riley, the wife of the late Mayor Leonard Riley, whom the park is named after, led the large crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the event.  The improvements to the park, which were primarily paid for through the county Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program include: leveling of the monument area surface, making it more user friendly, removal of some pathways and increasing grass areas and the installation of the bandshell which is located in the northwest corner of the park, thus creating a more natural space for events and seating.
